Israel attack on Qatar ‘flies in the face’ of ceasefire

Australia said Israel’s attack on Qatar has risks that weaken the ceasefire agreement in the Middle East.

Israel hit the capital Doha on Tuesday and targeted the leadership of the terrorist group Hamas, who was determined by Australia, said that five members were killed.

Foreign Minister Penny Wong said the last attack is at risk of increasing the conflict in the region.

“This is a clear violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and the flies in the face of what we want, which is the return of cease -fire and hostages (held by Hamas in Gaza),” he said to the Sunrise program.

“We don’t think this is the right thing.

“Weakens the likelihood of the release of ceasefire and hostages, or potentially damages and is at risk of ascension.”

During the last war in the Middle East, Qatar served as a negotiator in the peace meeting between Israel and Hamas.

Israel took the full responsibility of the attack, but the strike made most of its international allies.

US President Donald Trump said that the strike is “did not advance the goals of Israel or America”.

British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer condemned Israel’s actions on social media.

Qatar leaders said they were determined to make a cease -fire agreement despite the attacks.

Australia was not given any special information about the attacks before the Israel took place, and a president was given to the United States.

Senator Wong said Qatar plays an important role in the region.

“Qatar works with the US to try the return of a ceasefire and hostages,” he said.

“Tirelessly in these negotiations, the context in which this strike takes place.”

In Palestine, Hamas, who controlled Gaza, occupied the occupation of Israel in October 2023 in the south of Israel, and some killed more than 1200 Israelis while some were still hidden.

According to local health authorities, approximately 63,000 Palestinians in Gaza were killed in the military reaction of Israel’s military reaction, and many other things faced catastrophic food insecurity.
