Indian Airlines Cancel Flights to Kathmandu

New Delhi: Air India and Indigo were among the airlines that canceled their flights connecting Kathmandu on Tuesday, as the airport in the Nepal capital was temporarily closed between the anti -government protests in the neighboring country.

Air India and Spicejet also canceled their flights to Kathmandu for Wednesday.

In the light of the current situation and the closure of Kathmandu Airport, Indigo said that all flights from Kathmandu and Kathmandu stand have been canceled on September 10 for 1200 hours.

One source said one of the Air India flights returned to the National Capital on Tuesday, as the smoke was noticed at Kathmandu airport during the last approach of the aircraft.
