V. Hanumantha Rao appointed as Advisor to Telangana govt

Telangana government appoints senior Congress leader V. Hanumantha Rao as Advisor (BC Welfare and Development) at the rank of State Cabinet Minister. The orders were published on Thursday, April 30, 2026. Mr. Rao previously served as an MLA and was elected as a Rajya Sabha MP.
With his appointment, the government has 10 Advisors, including Harkara Venugopal Rao, Advisor (Protocol and Public Relations), NVS Reddy, Advisor (Urban Transport). The government on Thursday also appointed DGP B. Shivadhar Reddy as State Security Advisor.
