Democrat wins special election in Virginia, shrinking House Republican majority

WASHINGTON – Democrat James Walkkinshaw won the 9 September Virginia special elections to fill the Late Representative Gerald Connolly’s seat and reduced the Republican margin in the US House of Representatives to six seats.
Walkinshaw, the Chief of General Staff of Connolly and as Fairfax District Supervisor, defeated a former FBI special agent and the US army war veteran Republican Stewart Whitson. Walkinshaw will now represent Virginia’s Deep Blue 11th Congress Zone, which covers most of the Fairfax district in DC suburbs.
Walkinshaw’s victory means that the democrats now hold 213 seats, while the Democrats are now holding 213 seats. Home speaker Mike Johnson Already, a razor thin gop has faced difficulties in getting legislation on the finish line with the majority. If Johnson now opposes all democrats, only two Republicanists may afford to vote in any bill.
Connolly died in May at the age of 75 after he announced that the esophagus cancer has returned.
