Empty seats in cricket’s biggest rivalry? India vs Pakistan Asia Cup tickets still unsold; report reveals shocking reason

Due to the tense political ties, India and Pakistan have not played a series since 2013. The Asian Cup and other multinational tournaments organized by ICC are the only platform for two teams.

The eagerly anticipated Asian Cup 2025 match tickets between India and Pakistan are still available as reported by Times of India. Since the two teams have not entered a single series in the last decade, there is an important excitement surrounding this match. As a result, their matches are limited to tournaments organized by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) or the International Cricket Council (ICC). However, when there is less than a week until the match on September 14, the tickets are still ready to grab, some prices reached 2.5 Lakh for two seats.

Typically, tickets are sold for such high -profile matches within hours, but the report shows that ‘the combination of exorbitant prices and packaged sales’ demand.

On ticketing platforms, a pair of seats in VIP Suites East are priced as about 2.5 lakh. Ticket contains ‘corridor sitting, unlimited food and beverages, parking card, access to the VIP club/salon and special entries and toilets’.

The report also says that Royal Box’s RS 2.3 Lakh, RS 1.6 Sky Box and even Platinum level tickets are available for 75,659 RS. The most economical tickets start from 10,000 RS for two.

The tension surrounding the match was concrete, but it has been carefully controlled so far. During the press conference of the captains on Tuesday, the captain of India Suryakumar Yadav and Pakistan’s captain Salman Ali Agha sat separately in Afghanistan Rashid Khan. This can be seen as a symbolic gesture to maintain coolness before expected to be a violent competitive game.

In the talks with journalists, Suryakumar clearly accepted the intensity of this competition. “Aggression is always available on the field and you cannot win without it,” he said.

On the other hand, Salman Agha adopted a more comfortable approach by emphasizing the importance of individuality on aggression: orum I let players express themselves.

India comes as a champion who reigned in the tournament and won the Asian Cup eight times. On September 10, they started their campaigns against the UAE and won a small victory. Their aim is to maintain this acceleration when they meet Pakistan four days later.
