Altstock named new US Consul General in Western Australia

Colleen Altstock came to Perth to assume the role of the Consulate General of the United States in Perth.

Mrs. Altstock came from Seattle and played diplomatic roles in Shanghai, Beijing, Shenyang and Kazakhstan before moving to Perth for a three -year mission.

Millions of defense upgrades covering the area in Exmouth, aviation and sea assets continue.

WA companies Austtal and Hoffmann Engineering increase their footprints in the US defense industry.

And the state’s critical minerals sector closely follows the United States for supply agreements and policies that can help to control the industry from China.

On the US industrial front, Alcoa faces a challenging war to get a bauxite mining plans of the opposition from local governments and environmentalists.

Talison Lithium, where Albemarle is a partner, advances the expansion of the Greenbushes mine while struggling with community astonishment in the neighboring name town.

And Chevron faces public opinion review on multiple fronts – rumors that the company rejects India to go to open maritime affairs, and a rehabilitation bill on Barrow Island will partly transfer to WA taxpayers.

According to the US Consulate, more than 100 US companies are active in Western Australia.
