Mizoram gets direct rail connectivity to Delhi via Bairabi-Sairang line, check train route, travel time and other details

This was possible with the new Bairabi -shairang railway line, which is 51 km long and containing four large stations: Kanpui, Mualkhang and Sairang. So far, Aizaw can only be reached by air or way, a long journey of 8-10 hours from Silchar in Assam. The journey with the new line will only take three hours by train.
According to Indian railways, the trains on this rugged route will be able to run at speeds up to 110 km/h, an important success for the region.
Sairang-Delhi Rajdhani Express
- Opening: The train will leave Sairang on 13 September, and will reach the Anand Vihar terminal of Delhi on September 15th.
- Regular Service: As of September 19, Train 20507 will leave Sairang every Friday at 16:30 and will reach Delhi at 10:50 on Sunday.
- The return service will leave Delhi every Sunday, Train 20508, every Sunday, and will reach Sairang at 15:15 on Tuesday.
- Rota: Badarpur Junction, Guwahati, New Jalpaiguri, Malda Town, Bhagalpur.
Sairang-Gugwahati Express
- Opening Run: Train 05609 (Bairabi – Shairang) will leave Bairabi on September 13 at 10:00 and reach Sairang at 11:15.
- On the same day, the train will leave Sairang at 05610 (Sairang-Gugwahati Special) at 12:30 and the next day will come to Guwahati at 2:30.
- Regular Service: As of September 13, the train will leave 15609 Guwahati every day at 19:00 and will reach Sairang at 8:30 the next morning.
- As of September 14, Train 15610 will work in the opposite direction and leave Sairang every day at 19:00 and arrive at Guwahati at 8:30 the next morning.
Sairang-Kolkata Tri-Weekly Express
- Opening: The train will leave Sairang at 03126, September 13 at 10:00 and will arrive at Kalcutta at 17:00 the next day.
- Regular Service: As of September 16, the train will leave Kalcutta every Saturday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 12:15 every Saturday, and comes to Sairang at 19:45.
- The return service will start on September 18, the train will start on 18 September and will leave Sairang every Monday, Thursday and Friday at 07:15 and will reach Calcutta the next day at 14:30.
- Rota: Badarpur Junction, Guwahati, Goalpara Town, Golrakganj, New Jalpaiguri, Malda Town.
