Jeetendra and Hema Malini

Jeetendra admired Hema Malini, and in the late 1960s, the two wanted to work with the actress while the stars were winning. For this reason, when this opportunity was presented by filmmaker Subodh Mukhibe, the 1970 film Abhinetri, he immediately caught him and even arranged his dates to be a part of the film. However, even without informing, Jeetendra fell from the film and was replaced by another popular actor.

The obligatory player remembered this incident in a section dedicated to Hema Malini in the 2002 popular famous Talk Show Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai, hosted by Farooq Shaikh. Jeetendra shared that director Subodh Mukherjene initially thought about Abhinetri against Hema Malini, and even arranged his conflicting dates to meet the shooting. However, after waiting for a few days without any communication, he was surprised to discover that Shashi Kapoor and Hema Malini was signed for the project.

Remembering the incident, 83 -year -old actor, “I went to the Subodh Mukherjene and I told them that I arranged my conflict dates and gave them to continue with the shooting. But after four days, no one came into contact with me. Then, about five or six days later, after about five or six days, I read Shashi Kapoor and read the priority of the newspaper. It was managed by Subodh MukHetee.

Interestingly, Jeetendra and Hema Malini continued to work together in more than 20 films. These include Burning Train, Dulhan, Jai Kaali, Waris Meri Aawaz Suno, Qaaidi, Apne Apne, Jyyi and Hum Tere Ashiq.
