Doctor caught having sex after leaving patient during operation avoids sanction

In order to repeat the medical abuse, a doctor who left a “very low -risk patient patient in the middle decided.
Three married father Dr. Suhail Anjum, 44 and anonymous nurse, Tameside Hospital, a shocking colleague walking in a “conciliatory position” was caught by a shocking colleague.
The advisor had asked another nursing colleague to watch the male patient under general anesthesia, so he could go to the bathroom.
Instead, Dr Anjum went to another operating room used in the Hospital-Under-Lyne in Greater Manchester, Greater Manchester, where sexual activity took place with nurse C on September 16, 2023.
A medical practitioner’s court service (MPTS) hearing told another nurse in the hospital that he saw the nurse C with his pants around the series ”and Dr Anjum tied the cable of his pants”.
Dr angum was not in the operating room for eight minutes and the patient was not damaged.
The issue was reported to the administration and Dr. Angum was rejected in February 2024 after the internal investigation.
Last week, an MPTS Disciplinary Court told the Disciplinary Court that he wanted to continue his career in the UK and move with his family after moving to the native Pakistan, where he has been working as a doctor since then.
Dr Anjum has never promised that the “one -time judicial error” would not be repeated.
He gave evidence, he said: “It was quite embarrassing to say less. I will only blame myself.
“I disappointed everyone, not just my patient and myself, but trust and how it will look.
“I disappointed my colleagues who respect me.”
On Monday, the Court determined that Dr Anjum was “putting his own interests in front of his patients and his colleagues ve and the nurse C, which contained the nurse C, had the potential to distract Dr angum… and may not attract the attention of the patient”.
The President of the Court, Rebecca Miller, said that although his actions did not harm the patient’s safety, it is important enough for the serious abuse, ”he said.
However, he was pleased that Dr. Angum was determined not to repeat the past abuse and that he thought the risk of recurrence was “very low ..
Mad Miller said: “The court thought that the public and the profession would understand the high level of examination that DR ANJUM was exposed to, and that a serious findimal finding would be largely heavy.
“The Court was pleased that this public’s serious abuse of this public is sufficient to maintain the trust of the people to the profession and the appropriate professional standards, and that there was no necessity to find a disorder in practice for this purpose.”
The doctor will not be sanctioned and the hearing will be re -collected in Manchester on Tuesday to decide whether there is a warning about Dr. Anjum’s recording.
Dr Anjum agreed that he had entered sexual activity with the nurse C and knew that he was “probable to be nearby” when leaving his patient.
He also admitted that his actions had the potential to risk his patient.
