Naveen Jindal makes an offer to buy the steel business of Germany’s Thyssenkrupp

Jindal Steel International, led by Naveen Jindal, offered to purchase European steel assets of German Industrial Engineering and Steel Production Major Thyssenkrupp AG, a statement on Tuesday.
Jindal promised a combination of steel production expertise and an open way to the carbonization of Germany’s steel industry.
“We believe in the future of green steel production in Germany and Europe, Narendra Misra, the European Operations Director in Jindal Steel.
“Our goal is to protect and grow the 200 -year -old industrial heritage of THYSSENKRUpp and help it transform it into Europe’s largest integrated low -emission steel manufacturer,” he added.
Jindal Steel is part of Naveen Jindal Group, a family operating in Europe, Asia, Africa and West.
In 2024-25, the company reported approximately 12 billion € revenue with 22%EBITDA margin.
Jindal Steel said that for Thyssenkrupp Steel, it offers a more affordable, safe steel production in Germany and a forward -looking plan to create new business opportunities.
The proposal includes the completion of the DRI project in Duisburg and the addition of a new electric arc furnace capacity supported by more than 2 billion € financial commitments.
