Wiggles’ court blue reveals resurgence, $7m earnings

Wiggles’s former general manager claims that the staff was weakened by Blue Wiggle in front of the staff after expressing concerns about friends and family members employed by the entertainment group.

Luke O’Neill said the bonuses were rejected before being dismissed without a reasonable foundation in the federal court documents and excluded from the meetings.

In addition to Wiggles, Blue Wiggle Anthony Field launched legal proceedings against Matthew Salgo, the general advisor to the group.

Field questioned Mr. O’Neill’s competence, and according to the documents, at a meeting held in February, “weakened him” in front of more than a dozen staff.

Mr. O’Neill then complained to Blue Wiggle’s nephew and the general manager of the group, Luke Field, about the behavior of his uncle at the meeting.

Months after the chief manager complained that the upcoming album The Tree of Wisdom complained about the hiring of a different nephew to work on the production.

Mr. O’Neill also had a problem with implementing a bonus plan for a friend and his daughter’s boyfriend, “Unlike an unapproved and ordinary bonus plan”.

Later, Field took steps to reduce Mr. O’Neill’s roles and responsibilities.

This included excluding the meetings with the store KMART on selling branded toys and sending E -mail to all personnel about the intention of removing a tour supporter without pre -consulting.

Mr. O’Neill made another complaint about the other decisions that were taken without being approved by the staff and the field.

Finally, the group’s director Red Wiggle Simon complained to Pryce that the decisions created a budget invasion in April and endangered the bonus.

Pryce justified an increase in its performance after the rise of $ 2 million in 2025 from $ 2 million to $ 7 million in 2025 financially in 2023 finances.

However, Mr. O’Neill was dismissed in May.

He argues that the dismissal is illegal and that there is a negative action to exercise his workplace rights, and a reasonable basis came without a warning, negative feedback or performance management.

Paying more than $ 86,000 dollars in July was less than he claimed to be indebted.

Field, Mr. Salgo and Wiggles have not yet made their defenses.

The case will be held in court due to its first hearing on September 8th.

Before becoming a general manager in January 2024, Mr. O’Neill began to work for Wiggles as a consulting role in implementing strategies to increase the income of the group, to protect the budget and to control recruitment decisions.

It was founded in 1991 and is one of the most popular and most popular entertainment groups in Australia, won multiple Arıa awards and encouraged in the Honor Hall in 2011.
