A woman becomes stressed when her friend asks her to send multiple suitcases to her new address abroad.
The woman explained Mumsnet He said he kept his friend’s luggage at home because it was too much for his friend to carry on an international flight. After her friend settled into her new home, the woman sent her a few quotes on how much it would cost to ship the luggage.
“He got very angry and upset, claiming that I should have made the payment,” the woman said of her friend. “He offered me less than half the money because it was the only money he had in his bank account in the country where I live, but he doesn’t offer to wire money.”
“He claims I promised repeatedly that I would pay (I never said this; I was so upset when I found out he thought I did!),” the woman added.

The woman said her friend implied she was trying to steal the items by refusing to pay for the post and accused her of being “disorganized” for not sending the items yet.
The woman argued that although she apologized for the misunderstanding, her friend was still angry and was a liar because she said she never agreed to pay. The woman said the heated conversation made her so anxious that she had to temporarily block it to let her friend calm down before going to work.
“For reference, over $200 to ship, he quoted me around $60,” the woman said. “I am a single mother of two children who lives and works alone abroad, whereas she is single, has no children and lives rent-free at her parents’ house.
“I was shocked how aggressively he not only thought I would pay, but acted so aggressively when I told him I couldn’t afford it!” he continued. “I told them I would send it to another friend and they should send it too, but my other friend is also abroad at the moment and thinks she needs to send the money too, so I’m not sure they’ll actually accept the bags when they return!
“What would you do?” he asked.

The comment section of the post was filled with people encouraging the woman to continue refusing to pay for postage.
“I would give him a firm time frame to send you the money and if he doesn’t give the clothes to a charity shop,” one person wrote.
“Wow! What a perfect CF [cheeky f—er]! He knows he’s wrong, but he hopes he can get out of it by bullying you into paying for him. “Stand your ground,” said another.
“Tell him he’s lucky you don’t charge storage fees for his stuff. He really is a CF,” chimed in a third.
“Why would you want to finance her luggage costs?! She’s crazy enough to think you’d love doing that,” another added. “That’s his price, he’s a total arrogant f—-. I agree to a deadline or throw the whole thing away. Either way, block and leave this friendship going forward. He’s not someone you want in your life.”
