Abu Dhabi Closes Gas Facility Due to Falling Missile Debris

DUBAI: Abu Dhabi has halted operations at a gas facility due to falling debris from missile intercepts, the Emirati capital’s media office said on Thursday.
“Abu Dhabi authorities are responding to incidents caused by falling debris resulting from the successful interception of missiles at the Habshan gas facilities and the Bab (oil) field,” Abu Dhabi media office reported on he said.
“Gas facilities were closed,” the statement said, adding that no injuries were reported.
The United Arab Emirates foreign ministry said it “strongly condemned” the attack, which it blamed on Iran.
“These attacks constitute a serious escalation and constitute a violation of the principles of international law,” the ministry said in a statement published on X. he said.
Iran warned on Wednesday that it would destroy the oil and gas industries of Gulf countries it sees as American interests if its energy sector is damaged again following an attack on the South Pars field, the world’s largest gas reserve.
