AC/DC Australian tour 2025: Dates, start time, openers
Accadacca will then advance to the BP Adelaide Grand Final on 30 November before traveling to Perth’s Optus Stadium on 4 and 8 December and Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium on 14 and 18 December.
Who will open up to them?
AC/DC will be supported at each show by Grammy-nominated Melbourne pub-rock band Amyl and the Sniffers. They compete for the best rock performance with their songs You shouldn’t do this – their first Grammy nod.

Beyond Amyl and the Sniffers, each Australian city will also be opened by a different local rock act. There will be The Casanovas in Melbourne, Large Mirage in Sydney, Oscar the Wild in Adelaide, Southern River Band in Perth and Headsend in Brisbane.
Power On tour by numbers
AC/DC doesn’t do anything by halves. Power On tour previously defined as “the rock that makes you sweat and punches you” The equivalent of approximately 300 tonnes of steel and approximately 28 tonnes of PA systems and speakers were needed to set it in Europe and the US. The scene alone takes about three days to put together.
In fact, it contains so much equipment that it all had to be shipped from the UK to Australia in 74 separate sea containers; 26 for production equipment and 48 for stage equipment.
The projected audience for the world tour, which has traveled to 43 cities around the world so far, is currently between 3.5 and 4 million people. As for those working on the tour; There are a total of 155 crew members, including 87 production personnel, 38 steel crew and 30 local crew.

- Number of semi-trailers used to move production from city to city in Australia: 26 trucks for main production and 21 trucks for each stage system

AC/DC’s greatest Aussie moments
One of the most memorable AC/DC moments on home soil was filming the Grammy-winning band’s music video. It’s a Long Road to the Top (If You Want Rock’n’Roll) It was on the back of a flatbed truck on Melbourne’s Swanston Street nearly 50 years ago. They were joined by members of the Rats of Tobruk pipe band, who busted out their bagpipes alongside Bon Scott, who died in 1980 and was replaced by current singer Brian Johnson.

But in 1975, a year before the iconic music video was shot, the band gained attention for a very different reason. While introducing themselves to the country on an Australian music TV show countdownScott is dressed like a schoolgirl, complete with blonde ponytails and a skirt to match Angus Young’s soon-to-be signature schoolboy outfit.
The band made history in 1976 by becoming one of the first bands in Australia to use pyrotechnics and fake blood in a music video. Escape video punctuated by gunfire and explosions, all set and filmed in a quarry in the Melbourne suburb of Albion.
Years later, in 2003, Angus and Malcolm Young performed at Sydney’s Enmore Theater alongside fellow legendary rockers The Rolling Stones. They played a variety of tunes, including a cover by BB King Rock me babyto approximately 2000 fans. The Stones also reportedly loved Angus’ classic duck walk. How far did they come?
AC/DC debuted at Checkers Nightclub in Sydney on New Year’s Eve 1973. They have since been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and become one of the best-selling artists of all time, having sold more than 200 million albums worldwide.
1980 LPs Back to Black (their first album with new singer Johnson following Scott’s death) estimated sales 50 million copies globally.

AC/DC’s Australian branch Power On The tour kicks off in Melbourne at the MCG on November 12 before heading to Sydney, Adelaide, Perth and Brisbane.
