Labour MP’s office reduced to ashes after building set on fire | News

A workers’ deputy’s election zone office was reduced to rubble and ashes after being destroyed in a fire on Thursday, September 11th.

Northumbria police officers were called to Vermont House, who hosted Washington and Gateshead South Deputy Sunderland South Hodgson after a fire reports in the night.

Images from the stage exhibit most of the building to the ground. The graphite, which says “328 days of blood in your hands”, can also be seen next to the office.

A man in his 20s was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and arson.

Hodgson’s office said that they would not comment on the incident because of an active police investigation, but stressed that there is no room for such violence in our society ”.
