Active shooting in South Carolina mall leaves ‘multiple’ people injured as cops swarm scene
Many people were injured in an active shooter attack at a shopping mall in South Carolina on Saturday.
Police raided the Hayward Mall in Greenville on Saturday afternoon following reports that the shooter was active.
Officers told WSPA that multiple shooting victims were found inside the building.
While the police were trying to evacuate the shopping center, many people were detained.
Police said this was not a random attack. The Daily Mail has reached out to police for comment.
One X user who claimed to be at the mall said ‘everyone’ [was] After the gunshots are heard, he runs and tries to get out.
‘I’m in line to check out, I had to give up my ass. Frankly, I wanted to take shoes with me,’ they wrote.

Another person said his relatives were hiding in a barricaded warehouse, while another said his wife was also hiding in a back room.
‘Check if your people went there today!’ wrote a frightened husband.
