Actor Sam Hoare gave his support Independent‘s SafeCall campaign with a call for help.
Yıldız called on the public to donate to the appeal as efforts to establish a free service 24 hours a day gain momentum.
Alongside the charity Missing People, the publication aims to raise £165,000 to fund a service designed by young people for young people, to help reach the 70,000 children who go missing in the UK every year.
Hoare said: “Please do what you can, you will create a lasting legacy and change the lives of extremely vulnerable children and young people.”
