Traitors winner Rachel Duffy ‘heartbroken’ following mum’s death

The winner of the last series of Traitors shared the news of his mother’s death.
Writing on Instagram, Rachel Duffy said she was “heartbroken” over the death of her “beautiful little mum”.
It happened on Friday first female traitor to win BBC show.
Throughout the series, Duffy talked about her mother’s struggle with Parkinson’s Disease and also dementia.
During the show, Duffy, from Newry in Northern Ireland, said she wanted to take her mother on holiday to make memories.
Speaking to BBC News NI after his win I’m looking forward to your family’s treatment.and especially his mother.
“I called my mom this morning… I can’t wait to come home and give her a big hug and tell her what are we going to do?”
“Let’s do whatever you want. As long as I can spoil my family, that’s all I care about,” he added.
“HE [Rachel’s mum] didn’t understand all the twists and turns but enjoyed watching. He’s very proud.”
Duffy and his co-villain Stephen managed to take home half of the series’ £95,750 prize by winning the competition in Friday night’s finale.
Rachel talked about her mother throughout her time on the show, and got emotional in the final episode as she talked about how she wanted to spend her prize money making memories with her family.
“When you know him [Rachel’s mum] “The memories are gone and you have the opportunity to help him create the best memories ever, it’s so precious,” he said.
Speaking after the final, Rachel’s sister Joanne said how she wanted to spend her winnings showed her sister’s true character.
“Because Rachel wanted to go in there and get that money for her mother, and what she wanted meant that it was so much more than money.”
