Adam Peaty’s dad is pictured the day after son’s wedding after it was revealed he WAS invited but was told he would have to sit in the back row

Adam Peaty’s father Mark was spotted walking the dog near their family home in Staffordshire the day after his son’s wedding to Holly Ramsay.

Mark wore a dazzling orange coat and winter hat as he stepped out after being told he had been invited to the wedding at Bath Abbey but had to sit in the back row.

More than 200 friends and family members gathered to see the 30-year-old Olympic swimmer and Gordon Ramsay’s 25-year-old daughter get married.

But the lead-up to the wedding was anything but simple, sparking a toxic family feud that took over the nation and left Peaty’s family uninvited to the celebrations.

Despite the row, the gold medalist’s sister, Bethany Peaty, was among Holly’s bridesmaids; among them were her mother Tana Ramsay, 51, and sisters Tilly, 24, and Megan, 27.

Now, new information has claimed that Adam’s father was indeed invited to this special day.

A family source told The Sun on Sunday: ‘Frankly, it’s disgusting that this has gone ahead without Adam reaching out to his mum and dad first.’

The insider continued: ‘It was a tough day for Caroline and Mark so the family spent the evening together. Caroline was upset as soon as she saw their wedding photos.

‘It’s too bad he turns around and tells Beth that her dad can come and sit in the back of the church. ‘Mark was told he could sit behind the plus-ones, whom Adam had probably never seen or spoken to.’

Meanwhile, Adam’s mother Caroline said she is trying to stay upbeat and positive but in reality she is heartbroken.

He does his best to keep them in but tears inevitably flow as he speaks exclusively to the Daily Mail: ‘I don’t think they realize how much they hurt me; “It’s like they ripped out my heart,” he says.

‘This is the first Christmas my family isn’t together; My family is torn apart.

‘Yes, I have other grandchildren. Yes, I have other children, but my family is divided because of what happened… because of the wedding.’

The star-studded guest list of 200 attendees included Sir David, 50, his wife Victoria Beckham, 51, and their children Romeo, 23, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 14.

The Beckhams and Ramsays have been close family friends since the early 2000s, and the two clans formed a bond when they moved to the United States.

Adam met Holly on the set of Strictly Come Dancing in 2021 while competing with sister Tilly. Their paths crossed again in 2023 and they started dating.

Caroline shared a flat with Holly when they visited Paris and they got on well. Caroline, a former nursery manager, even told Holly her concern about her son being estranged from his family.

He recalled the last time we met: ‘I remember his words: ‘You’ve got him back now, he’ll always be part of the family.’ ‘

These words seem so empty now.

Adam couldn’t have been happier when he gave Holly a £23,000 yellow diamond engagement ring in September last year and told her mum she’d found her soulmate.

Looking back, Caroline admits that the distance between Adam and her own family felt like a long, slow drift away.

The engagement party, held at the members-only Soho Farmhouse in December last year, was a harbinger of things to come, as while Caroline and Mark attended, Adam’s extended family were not invited.

Caroline was hurt and sent a message to Holly, expressing how much she, like Holly, valued family and expressing her disappointment that her sisters had not been asked. They argued over the content of the message. She insists it was polite and diplomatic, but Adam was furious.

The bad feeling continued during the engagement ceremony. Caroline was horrified to discover that a Netflix film crew had also been invited to the lavish party to record filming for Gordon Ramsay’s new show Being Gordon Ramsay.

Caroline has since sent letters to Adam and Holly, the Ramsays and Netflix demanding that she, Mark, their son Jamie and wife Charlotte not take part in any filming.

The Ramsays are a close clan; They’ve been doing things together, as has been clear for the last two weeks.

First the gathered family joined Adam and Holly on a trip to Bath as they prepared for the big day, then came a small pre-wedding trip to Lapland and continued with festive pre-wedding drinks on Boxing Day.

Caroline, who had to watch the events from a distance, thought that her ties with her family were also tight, and said: ‘Family has always been the center of my life, so you can imagine the pain this has caused me.’

The denial of his 60th birthday shortly before Christmas reignited the pain, and Christmas this year was very different.
