Adani Enterprises to build Sonprayag–Kedarnath ropeway, cutting travel time to 36 minutes
In a statement on Monday, the company, the flagship of the group led by Gautam Adani, Adani Enterprises Ltd. (AEL) signed a contract to build a cable car of approximately 13 km long connecting Sonpayag with Kedarnath.
The project approved by the Birlik Cabinet in March this year LaIt aims to reduce the 4,081 Crore and 8-9-hour trek to only 36 minutes.
“Adani Portfolio’s flagship company Adani Enterprises Ltd. (AEL), Kedarnath and Sonpayag to build the prestigious cable car project that connects the National Highways and Logistics Management Ltd. (NHLML) from a reward letter (LoA), he said.
Project Details
Sonpayag is the end that can be accessed by the way for pilgrims to the Temple of Kedarnath. This new cable car will connect these areas to each other, otherwise a 16 km uphill will alleviate the journey that is completed in other ways such as Midilli, Palanquins and helicopters.

“Once the operational once, the 12.9 km cable car project will reduce the travel time from a 9 -hour challenging trek to only 36 minutes and make pilgrimage much easier and more secure.
Aleppo, the National Aleppo Development Program – is part of Parvatmala Pariojana and will take about six years to complete.
AEL will work for 29 years after construction. The project will not only improve the connection, but it is also expected to create business in the region and increase tourism. PTI notified.
CRUTING CAPACITY
The cable car is planned to use three advanced cables that can carry 1,800 passengers per hour and have a total capacity of 18,000 passengers.

The Temple of Kedarnath is located at a height of 3,583 meters in the Rudraprayag region of Uttarakhand. It remains open to pilgrims for about six to seven months a year, news report PTI in question.
