Heartbroken family pay tribute to police officer son who died in line | UK | News

The heartbroken family of a police officer who died while responding to an “emergency call” after being seriously injured in a car crash have paid a touching tribute to him. Kent Police announced the death of 27-year-old PC Bradley Corke, who died on Saturday, March 21, 2026.
He was injured two days ago when his and his colleague’s vehicles collided while on duty. While his colleague remains in hospital in critical condition, one of the citizens in the second vehicle continues to be treated for serious injuries. PC Corke had been with Kent police since May 2022. He was based in Tonbridge and spent his police service in West Kent towns. Police said Bradley selflessly gave up his life trying to save the lives of others in danger, and his courage, dedication and passion for helping others will not be forgotten. Officers are supporting his family and colleagues, who are reportedly devastated.
Bradley’s family now pays tribute to him.
“Our beautiful son was cruelly taken from us at a very young age. Bradley was one of the best young men who ever lived on this earth. A thank you to him, to us as his parents, and to all his family and friends who loved him so much.”
“He was proud to be PC Bradley Corke and we are proud of his dedication to the profession.
“We were touched by the love and compassion shown by everyone who knew him. We were especially consoled by the kind words of those he helped during his time in office and who was there for him in times of need.
“It’s no surprise to us that so many people have such positive experiences in his presence, because he’s just Brad; a true gentleman in every situation he encounters.
“Son, we are broken and we will probably never recover from the loss of you, but we hope that we can draw strength from all that you are and will forever be. We love you son, we love you with every fiber of our being. Sleep well our most beautiful son.”
Kent Police continues to appeal for anyone with information about the collision to come forward.
The incident, which involved a marked Ford Focus police car and a VW Scirocco, happened on the westbound A20 London Road at the junction with Button Street, Farningham, at around 7.45pm on Thursday, March 19.
Witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage should contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit. 01622 798538Excerpt from EW/AL/025/26.
