Crows coach Matthew Nicks signaled to his coaches to review why the team was unable to score in the second and third quarters.
Nicks admitted he was disappointed after a game he believed his team should have won and tried to use the right language.
“We had some opportunities in big moments tonight and you could tell the game should have been ours because we won the inside 50 count, we won the ground ball battle – we won a lot of ground, but we didn’t win the game. Credit to them,” Nicks said.
“When you leave it that late…we’ll look at that. What frees us up to finish that strong, yet we seem to be locked in the second and third quarter before we open the game back up for ourselves.”
Nicks also revealed that Callum Ah Chee played the game with a guard on his finger and “couldn’t feel it”, which could have caused his star assistant to miss some time.
“That made it difficult for him to execute,” Nicks said.
