Geelong superstar Patrick Dangerfield has explained how he believes starting the game on the bench could be beneficial.
A smiling Dangerfield told Kayo Sports that some harsh truths from Cats assistant coach James Rahilly convinced him that a later introduction to the game could benefit him after some poor games to start the season.
“I harassed Rahls [assistant coach James Rahilly] There was a lot going on last week because he started me on the bench, but his reaction was pretty clear and valid; You haven’t touched the ball in the first 10 minutes of the last three games,” Dangerfield told Kayo Sports.
“So we will get the same performance from you on the bench. I enjoy the challenge and being an explosive athlete, playing with moves helps me.
“I feel like the running is good and I’m trying to get in shape.”
