There’s plenty of talk about which clubs could be in ninth and 10th place, but the Gold Coast could miss out on the top 10 altogether if they can’t regain the form and confidence they lost last month.

Tonight’s loss leaves them at 7-6 (eighth place), but they have a tight run towards the final and as some other commentators pointed out this evening, there are only four home games left.

Next month looks pretty significant when it comes to finals hosting Hawthorn and Collingwood, as well as trips to Perth (to face the Dockers) and Adelaide (to face the Crows).

If the Suns can’t split the four-game bracket, the finals could pass them by.

They have no chance of beating the teams in the last four, but there are enough games left if they are good enough to win.
