The Crows rose to the occasion in front of their enthusiastic fans and defeated Carlton by 28 points. After a terrific effort from the Blues in the first quarter, Adelaide responded with a six-goal assault that went relatively unanswered in the second half.

After half-time the heavens opened and Adelaide Oval went from slide to slide, but the Crows kept up the pressure to storm home.

Even though tonight’s result was Carlton’s third straight defeat, the Blues still looked promising. As David King noted on Fox Footy after the match, “Blues fans cannot be disappointed by Carlton’s effort, intent or attitude.”
