Starmer ‘accepts invite’ to visit Trump during expected trip to Scotland

According to sources, Sir Keir Starmer agreed to visit Donald Trump during his expected trip to Scotland this month.
In his statement to Reuters on Thursday, details are still finalized, including a certain date.
The Scottish police said on Wednesday that Bay Trump was preparing for a possible visit to Scotland later this month, and that they would mark the first visit to England since the US elections last year.
The White House had no interpretation about the report. The British Embassy refrained from commenting.
Mr. Trump and Sir Keir have developed a warm relationship in recent months, and last month, a framework trade agreement between a G7 meeting, which officially reduces the US’s tariffs for imports from the UK.
The agreement arrived for a friendly encounter with the invitation of King Charles for a future visit of Mr. Trump after the British Prime Minister visited the White House in February.
This week, the British media reported that Mr. Trump will visit Golf clubs in Scotland later this month, but a last date has not yet been approved. Sky News Turnberry and Aberdeenshire said he would visit the golf fields.
A high -level police Scottish officer said the US president’s potential visit would be “important”. The visit will require significant sources of policing and possible units from other parts of the UK.
Vice President Alan Speirs told PA News Agency to discuss the costs of Scotland with Scottish and British governments.
Mr. Trump was greeted with important protests to Scotland for the last time – between two periods as the US President.
Mr. Speirs said he was sure that the power could cope with any protest and called “those who want to do this in a fair and reasonable way and in the worlds of the law.”
A Scottish government spokesperson: “The Scottish government is working with the British government to support a potential visit planning by the President of the United States of Scotland to Scotland.”
