Afzalgunj Police Arrest Bike Thief, Recover Three Stolen Vehicles

Hyderabad: Afzalgunj police arrested Md Riyaz Uddin for allegedly stealing two-wheelers and recovered three stolen two-wheelers on his investigation. The police took action upon the complaint made by Osmaniye State Hospital employee P. Mahender on February 11.
Mahender reported that his bike, which he parked near the PG hostel in OGH facilities around 10.30 am, was found missing when he returned at 14.30 pm. The crime team, who investigated the case under the supervision of station house officer N. Ravi and detective inspector B Ravi Kiran, analyzed CCTV footage and conducted field investigations, leading to the arrest of the accused.
Police said Riyaz used duplicate keys to steal other two-wheelers, one from MBBS parking lot on November 25, 2025 and the other from Ashok Bazaar on January 1.
Medipally Police Solved Robbery Case in 24 Hours; Two Snatchers Arrested
Medipally police and CCS Uppal district under Malkajgiri commissionerate said they detected a case of robbery within 24 hours and arrested the two accused Battini Ravin and Guntipally Raghu. It was claimed that they stole a woman’s bag.
According to the police, the incident took place on February 12, when the complainant was walking towards his house in Panchavati Colony, carrying three bags, after closing his shop. He approached her on a two-wheeler near Kranthi Colony, snatched the bags and fled. The stolen property included gold chain, mobile phone, ATM, PAN, Aadhaar cards and cash.
Special teams from Medipally police and CCS Uppal have been formed to investigate the incident. Through analysis of CCTV footage, technical evidence and local intelligence input, the accused were tracked and arrested.
Hyderabad, Cyberabad Police Nab 611 Drunk Drivers; Criminals Will Appear in Court
Traffic police said 611 drivers were ticketed for drunken driving over the weekend, including 415 in Hyderabad and 196 in Siberabad.
Among those booked by Hyderabad traffic police. Of these, 341 were two-wheelers, 27 were three-wheelers and 47 were four-wheelers. At the upper end, the blood alcohol content of the six defendants was between 251 and 300, with over 300 mg of alcohol in 100 ml of blood.
Cyberabad traffic police said that out of 196 cases, 140 cases involved two-wheeler drivers. According to authorities, 13 people recorded extremely high levels between 301 and 550 mg/100 ml. Siberabad traffic DCP I. Ranjan Ratan Kumar stated that all the culprits will be brought to court.
Courts decided 212 drink-driving cases last week, ordering jail time, fines and community service in some cases.
