I’m an ex-Royal Marine – this is my message to youngsters after school Union Jack shaming | UK | News

As a royal sailor who proudly serves this country, I wonder that the brave men who suppressed Normandy beaches or endure Somme’s trenches will do England today. These men – heroes, all – put their lives for our freedom, values, our nation. And we’re still here, after a few generations, we’re watching the country they died because they’re slowly dismantled from the inside.

Recently, 12-year-old Courtney Wright was punished for wearing a union flag dress to the school-he was still in the intestinal fist to everyone who believed in England. A girl who was proud of her heritage chose to express this pride on a day dedicated to the celebration of this pride. And how was it treated? Withdrew from the class. He was held alone. Shameful. Everything dare to celebrate its own country.

I worked in Afghanistan. I lost your friends. Real guys. Brave men. Like me, men who believe that our country is worth fighting. And now I’m watching that the texture of that country is disintegrated-not by an enemy in the cases, but a cowardice, ideological capture and a bend that hates itself national.

It wasn’t an isolated event for Courtney. The last of a long corporate betrayal line. Apart from our own culture, we have schools leaning backwards to host every culture. Teachers, governors and public officials, of course, horrified to disturb anyone except the British people. Because today is proud of being a British.

What shameful. What insults to those who give everything for this country. Courtney’s dress was not political. Patriotic. And let’s be honest – even if it is political, what happened? If other students can wear clothes representing foreign nations, religions and traditions without question, then why is our national flag so disturbing? The real problem is that British is pushed into margins. He was celebrated one day and day a year or during the royal wedding, then a pile of guilt was buried under him, and ashamed for the rest.

Our children are growing up in a country where they are told to apologize for their inheritance, underestimate their dates and ashamed of their identity. This is not progress – this cultural surrender. Since then, the school apologized, but was damaged. As Courtney learned most of our children, they learned that being proud to be British will get you into trouble. Loving your country makes you a target.

I say enough. I haven’t put my life at risk, so that future generations can be taught to bend their heads in shame. I did not fight for a Britain where the children were isolated because they shook the flag where their ancestors died to defend. We are English. We are proud. And we will not be silenced. To Courtney and every young man like him, stand tall. Wear that flag proudly. Talk. Refuses to be ashamed.

You are the future of this nation and this nation needs you – because the British war is no longer on the front front, but in our classes, municipal halls and hearts. Nowadays, we owe it to the past to stand intact. And we never owe it not to withdraw.
