AIADMK leader Edappadi Palaniswami criticises unscheduled power cuts across Tamil Nadu

AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami on Sunday, May 24, 2026, criticized the incidents of unplanned power outages in various parts of Tamil Nadu and urged the TVK-led government to take steps on war footing to resolve the issue.

In his statement, Mr. Palaniswami claimed that normal life was affected due to unplanned power outages and people were forced to spend sleepless nights. He also touched upon media reports about power outages in various parts of Chennai for two consecutive days.

“Due to unplanned power outages, the normal life of people, MSME sector and industries is being affected. They are set to experience economic disruptions,” Mr. Palaniswami argued.
