AIG Hospitals And ICMR Ink Pact For Joint Research In Digital Health And Patient Care

Hyderabad:AIG Hospitals has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) to conduct joint research in the areas of digital health, healthcare delivery and translational medicine, as well as bring research results to clinical use.
“At AIG, we have always believed that the future of healthcare lies in the seamless integration of clinical excellence, research and innovation. This collaboration with ICMR is a natural extension of this vision,” said Dr D. Nageshwar Reddy, Chairman, AIG Hospitals. “By combining our strengths in high-quality patient care and translational research with ICMR’s leadership in national health research, we aim to create solutions that are not only scientifically sound but also scalable and effective for the larger population.”
The agreement brings together AIG’s clinical experience and innovation platforms with ICMR’s national research network and policy outreach. Both parties will carry out joint studies in digital health and similar fields, as well as prepare grant proposals and seek national and international funding.
The partnership will include the exchange of data, expertise and scientific information within regulatory and ethical norms. There is a strong focus on translating research into practice to translate findings into patient care.
ICMR Director General Dr. “Collaborations between leading clinical institutions and national research institutions are critical to solving our nation’s complex and evolving health challenges,” said Rajiv Bahl, adding that such studies can generate evidence and transform research into benefits for patients.
The MoU also covers wider dissemination through academic events, workshops and digital platforms. Regular reviews will monitor progress and identify new areas of work in line with national health priorities.
