AIMPLB postpones ‘Bharat Bandh’ against waqf law

All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) announced on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, a country -wide protest against the 2025 WAQF Amendment Law.

The movement comes after the administration of the board of directors’ emergency meeting by AIMPLB President Maulana Khalid Saifullah Rahmani.

AIMPLB said that Bandh’s religious festivals were postponed in various states at the same time. The Board announced that the protest movement against the WAQF Amendment Law will not end, even though the Bandh was postponed.

Other planned programs will be made as planned. AIMPLB added that the new history of Bharat Bandh will be announced soon.
