Air Force One makes sharp U-turn while heading to Davos as Trump’s flight heads back to Maryland

Air Force One was forced to return to Joint Base Andrews following what the crew called a ‘minor electrical issue’ during President Donald Trump’s trip to Davos for the World Economic Forum.
A pool reporter noted that the lights in the press booth went out briefly after takeoff, but no explanation was given.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt joked during the flight that the jet gifted to Trump by Qatar sounds “much better” now.
A US government convoy was seen heading towards the Maryland base on Tuesday night.
The plane is expected to land at Joint Base Andrews at 23:00.
Air Force One departed Joint Base Andrews late Tuesday night, carrying Trump on a red-eye flight to Switzerland for the World Economic Forum.
The plane is expected to land in Zurich and then Trump will take a helicopter to Davos, the mountain town where billionaires gather every year.
“This is going to be an interesting trip,” Trump told reporters as he left the White House. ‘I have no idea what will happen but you are well represented.’
