Air India finds ‘no issues’ with fuel switch mechanism in Boeing 787 Dreamliners

Air India said that the fuel control switch in the Boeing 787 and 737 jets could not find any problems with the locking mechanism, after undertaking the precautionary inspections of the plane of the airline in the heart of a large collision investigation.

Shortly after the departure of Ahmedabad, the investigation into the June 12 accident, which killed 260 people, focuses on Boeing 787 Jetliner’s fuel control switches and with the latest report from India’s Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) in a year.

The switches check the fuel flow to the aircraft engines, allow pilots to start or close the floor, or manually intervene during in -flight motor failures.

Last week, a cockpit sound recording reported why the first officer Clive Kunder asked the captain Sumeet Sabharwal why he closed the fuel switches rejected by the senior pilot.

Authorities investigate whether the aircraft systems are the result of failure or human error.

Air India began voluntary inspections of Switches on July 12th. India’s aviation regulator soon ordered to make similar checks to all domestic carriers and asked some foreign airlines and organizers to follow the case.
