Akasa shrugs off industry caution, looks to up capacity 30% in FY27

“Akasa is buying three aircraft once a month or every two months, which works out to 12-18 jets per year. So a 30% capacity increase seems possible,” said Gagan Dixit, vice president of oil, gas and aviation at brokerage firm Elara Capital. “Despite the 25 percent increase in domestic air ticket prices in June, there is demand. Therefore, airlines that have aircraft or whose deliveries arrive on time, as in Akasa, will see an increase in capacity ahead of some players.”
