Abhishek Attacks 3 BJP Agents, Left In Murshidabad For WB Polls

Berhampore: Trinamul Congress member Abhishek Banerjee on Monday accused the BJP of fielding three players – Election Commission (EC), Aam Janata Unnyan Party founder Humayun Kabir and Congress leader Adhir Chowdhury – against chief minister Mamata Banerjee’s party in Murshidabad in the West Bengal Assembly Elections.
At a poll campaign rally at Jalangi in Murshidabad, he said: “BJP has deployed 3 agencies in this district and 3 agents are responsible for this. The first is the EC headed by Gyanesh Kumar, which is busy deleting the names of voters. The other two are Mr. Chowdhury and Mr. Kabir, who enjoy security protection of central forces. Mr. Kabir is also supported by Asaduddin Owaisi’s AIMIM.”
The Diamond Harbor TMC MP also accused Mr. Kabir, Mr. Owaisi and Mr. Chowdhury of triggering unrest to split votes to help the BJP and hence they were not summoned by central agencies. Mr. Banerjee then attacked the left.
He claimed: “Many people voted for CPI(M) and Congress in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls, believing that it would not affect the then TMC government. But this election is not just about giving a fourth term to the TMC, it is also about taking down the B and C teams of the BJP and teaching a lesson to those who are withholding your rightful funds.”
The TMC national general secretary further claimed: “I challenge the CPI(M), which has been in power for 34 years, to explain the number of roads they have built, the submersible tube wells they have installed or any other developments they have brought to Jalangi and Domkal. CPI(M) is a thing of the past. Do you ever buy spoiled vegetables?”
He added: “CPI(M) leader Muhammad Salim lost by over 1.6 lakh votes against Abu Taher Khan in 2024. Don’t waste your vote on them. CPI(M) has never fought against special massive revision. Only Ms. Banerjee has.”
