Albanese open to changes on trusts — but not on capital gains plan

WORKFORCE IS OPEN TO SOME CHANGES
Labor has said it will not budge on changes to capital gains tax but could throw a bone at its rivals by changing its plan to tax discretionary trusts at at least 30%.
The potential tax on these trusts has led the Australian media to coin one of their favorite and most alarming terms: “death tax”. These words have been uttered in countless headlines over the past few days.
