Albanese seeks light-touch fuel saving measures

NATIONAL CABIN TO AVOID FUEL OBLIGATIONS

Prime minister Anthony Albanese The government will meet state and territory leaders this morning as it seeks further measures to protect fuel supplies.

Australian Financial Review The federal government and states are “hoping to avoid drastic measures for as long as possible” by finding ways to increase fuel supplies across the country while also encouraging people to reduce fuel use.

“The national cabinet will propose a series of measures to alleviate the oil shock, such as working from home where possible, car sharing and, as a first step, increasing the use of public transport,” the newspaper said.
