Xiaomi has launched the new 17 Series, which includes Xiaomi 17 Ultra and Xiaomi 17. Both devices are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip. Video recording options include Dolby Vision up to 4K 120fps and ACES Log on both main and telephoto lenses. Despite its camera hardware, the Ultra is 8.29mm thick and weighs 218.4 grams.

The standard Xiaomi 17 is equipped with a Light Fusion 950 sensor and Leica 60mm floating telephoto lens for its main camera. It also has a new 50MP front camera with autofocus. The phone is 8.06 mm thick and weighs 191 grams and has a 6,330 mAh battery. Charging is supported at 100W wired and 50W wireless.

Both models feature custom OLED displays with 3,500 nits peak brightness and 1-120 Hz LTPO refresh rate. The Ultra has a 6.9-inch display with Xiaomi’s HyperRGB sub-pixel layout, while the standard model has a 6.3-inch display with 1.18mm bezels.

Xiaomi also introduced the Leica Leitzphone, powered by Xiaomi and priced at €1,999 (approximately Rs. 2,14,900). This device celebrates Leica’s 100th anniversary and shares its camera hardware with the Ultra. It has a nickel-anodized aluminum body and a physical Leica Camera Ring. A Leica Essential mode is also included, designed to mimic the look of classic Leica cameras.

Accessories for photography enthusiasts include a Photo Kit (€99.99) and a Photo Kit Pro (€199.99). These kits are designed to enhance the phone’s camera functionality.
