Aldi has urged shoppers to “hurry up” after unveiling its new £70 ice cream machine, saying it is expected to create a buying frenzy when it arrives in stores later this month. The budget supermarket is launching the Ambiano Ice Cream Maker, priced at £69.99, as part of its latest Modern Kitchen range. Available from July 16, the retailer warned that like many Specialbuys, it is only available while stocks last.
The machine is designed to whip up homemade ice creams, sorbets, and frozen yogurt in as little as an hour; This makes it arrive just in time as the UK enters the hottest part of summer. Aldi said the device has a built-in compressor, meaning there’s no need to pre-freeze a bowl before use. It also has four operating modes, a keep-cold function that can preserve frozen desserts for up to an hour after they’re made, and a one-litre capacity.
The retailer said users will be able to customize the recipes with their own ingredients, whether it’s classic vanilla ice cream, fruit sorbets or frozen yogurt.
The launch forms part of Aldi’s latest kitchen range, which includes the Retro Kettle for £24.99, the Retro Toaster for £29.99 and the Double Basket Air Fryer for £79.99.
Aldi is expecting strong demand for its ice cream maker and has warned shoppers not to delay if they want to get their hands on one.
The supermarket said the machine was “ready to cause a frenzy” when it hits shelves and said customers should “be quick” because, as with all Specialbuys, it will not be replenished when stocks run out.

The Ambiano Ice Cream Machine will be available in Aldi stores nationwide from July 16, while supplies last.
