The drug trafficking ringleader, allegedly affiliated with the Dawood Ibrahim organization, was detained by Turkish agencies in Beylikdüzü on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, and deported to India.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on channel X: “Zero tolerance against narco syndicate. @narcoticsbureau took a major breakthrough today to secure the return of notorious drug smuggler Muhammad Salim Dola from Türkiye. As part of the Modi government’s mission to ruthlessly crack down on drug cartels, our anti-narcotics agencies have expanded their reach beyond their borders through a powerful global network of agencies. Now, there is no place for drug lords, wherever they hide.” “It’s not safe,” he said.
