Alyssa Farah Griffin Says It’s ‘Unheard Of’ for Lauren Boebert to Be Taken to the Situation Room for Epstein File Meeting
Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Co.) summoned to the White House Situation Room this week Discussing her support for a habeas corpus petition to release the full Epstein files, a move that stymied former White House staffer Alyssa Farah Griffin. According to the host of “The View,” it is “unheard of” for this type of meeting to be held in a specific room.
During Hot Topics of the Day, ABC hosts were surprised that Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI director Kash Patel chose to meet with Boebert in the Situation Room, given the meetings that typically take place there. Farah Griffin quickly backed them up, remembering that she had been in the Situation Room a few times herself.
“This is unheard of. I have only entered the Situation Room on matters of national security. [and] “During the coronavirus response,” Farah Griffin said.
As the hosts discussed the weight of this association, Farah Griffin cited the operation to eliminate Osama Bin Laden as an example of the seriousness of the events that occurred in the Situation Room. For the anchor, the conversation with Boebert was another example of the Trump administration’s inappropriate behavior.
“If you’re a skeptic of Donald Trump’s involvement, you think he’s somehow aligned with it, and they deny that it is, so their actions must be consistent with that,” he said. “And it feels like every move he makes makes them look more guilty.”
Farah Griffin added that she did not expect the meeting to have any impact on Boebert’s support for the expungement petition. In fact, he expects more Republicans to vote, along with him and three other GOP members who support releasing the files.
“Because it will follow them,” he explained. “In the midterms, it will be according to their conscience.”
