The 55-year-old presenter is never afraid to strip down for a sizzling photo and now she’s putting in the work it takes to ensure she’s always camera ready.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Amanda revealed that she followed Elizabeth Hurley’s advice to eat one good meal a day, eating an egg white omelet with spinach, feta cheese and avocado for breakfast, with green juice, and then not eating again until the evening.

‘I’m a vegetarian, so I think I’m pretty healthy, probably by accident,’ he thought. ‘But I love my food and alcohol, especially an Aperol Spritz in this weather!’

Insisting that she should allow herself this strange latitude, she continued: ‘I applaud anything that works for others, but I can’t be one of those people who cuts things.

‘I think life is complicated as it is, so let yourself have what you want for good reason. ‘A little bit of everything is better.’

He said he enjoys cycling at home two or three times a week because it doesn’t matter what the weather is like and he can easily fit it into his life.

‘I understand people have different ways of dealing with things, but I think if you put yourself in that situation you have to take the rough with the rough.

‘This is unfortunately our industry and you’re creating a tougher skin than that and I’m like, you know what, come and say it to my face and see how you handle it!’

On having the confidence to go out and face the world every day, she said: ‘I’ve always said that my makeup is my armour. You’ll never catch me without lashes and some lip gloss.

‘I mostly wear sunglasses too, because if you’re having a day off you just put on a pair of sunglasses and you’re a win.’

‘The whole place was packed to the rafters, with a huge podium in the middle, everyone enjoying dinner and two huge hair shows in the middle of all the awards I hosted.

‘As you can imagine, there were all kinds of hair colours, designs, outfits, 1.80 meters tall models reaching up to the ceiling, everyone was ready for it, I felt like I was in awe of the hairdressers!

‘I loved it, I felt like I found completely new people, new friends, it was incredible.’
