NEET paper leak: Woman detained in Pune, handed over to CBI

A woman was detained by Pune Police and handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation for her alleged connection with the NEET paper leak case, a senior official said on Wednesday.

City police commissioner Amitesh Kumar said the woman was detained from Bibvewadi. “We interrogated him and handed him over to CBI for further investigation,” he told PTI.

Kumar, however, refused to elaborate on the woman’s exact role in the alleged document leak, which led the National Testing Agency to cancel the admission test for undergraduate medical courses held on May 3.
The cancellation of the exam has left more than 22 lakh medical course candidates and their families anxious about the new exam date, admit cards, exam centers and counseling timeline.
