Amazon’s top health exec is stepping down, will be replaced by Amwell co-founder

AmazonThe healthcare industry’s top executive will step down and be replaced by the co-founder of telemedicine company Amwell announced Wednesday.
Neil Lindsay, who joined Amazon more than 15 years ago, has served as senior vice president of Amazon Healthcare since 2021. AHS includes Amazon’s online pharmacy service and primary care chain One Medical, among other ventures.
Amazon’s worldwide retail chief, Doug Herrington, said in a note posted on the company’s website. Roy Schoenberg will replace Lindsay on July 1, he wrote. Lindsay will remain at Amazon as a consultant through the end of the year.
In addition to co-founding and leading Amwell, Schoenberg brings “a rare combination of clinical expertise, technology vision, and experience building healthcare businesses at scale,” Herrington wrote.
