Ambati Rayudu Appointed Head of Cricketing Operations for HCA

Hyderabad: In a notable development for domestic cricket, former India international Ambati Rayudu has been appointed as Head of Cricket Operations at Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA).

Rayudu announced his new role on Tuesday and thanked the association’s management for the opportunity. The appointment was approved by Justice P. Naveen Rao (SMC), HCA Secretary M. Jeevan Reddy and the Apex Council.

Rayudu, who is stepping into an administrative role, said he sees this as a chance to bring meaningful changes in the system. Highlighting the strong cricket talent pool in Hyderabad and Telangana, he emphasized that it needs to be developed more effectively.

His broader aim is to strengthen the domestic structure so that more players from the region can progress towards representing India at the highest level. His entry into HCA management is expected to bring a new, player-focused approach to the operation of the association.
