Two held with suspected synthetic drugs

Kozhikode: Police on Monday arrested two youths for allegedly smuggling synthetic drugs worth ₹ 50 lakh. The suspects were identified as 29-year-old Muhammad Irfan and 27-year-old MC Shahad. According to police sources, the seized items include 250 grams of suspected MDMA, 45 grams of suspected ecstasy drug and 1.5 grams of suspected LSD stamps. The duo, who reportedly ran an educational consultancy in Mankavu, were traveling in an interstate tourist bus when the drug was allegedly found hidden inside a pressure cooker during a quick inspection. The controls were carried out by the Town Police Department teams and the District Anti-Narcotics Special Operations Team.
