Amitabh Bachchan reacts to ‘special’ grandson Agastya Nanda-starrer Ikkis trailer: ‘May you ever…’

Ikkis is based on the life of Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, who was posthumously awarded India’s highest military decoration, the Param Vir Chakra, for his bravery in the 1971 Indo-Pakistani War.

Amitabh Bachchan has called his grandson Agastya Nanda ‘special’ ahead of the release of the much-anticipated war drama Ikkis, which is scheduled to hit theaters in December. The Sriram Raghavan directorial also stars Akshay Kumar’s niece Simar Bhatia (in her debut), Dharmendra, Jaideep Ahlawat, Sikandar Kher and Deepak Dobriyal in important roles.

Ikkis is based on the life of Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, who was posthumously awarded Param Vir Chakra, India’s highest military decoration, for his bravery in the 1971 Indo-Pakistani War. The much-awaited film is directed by Sriram Raghavan, who is known for making dark thrillers like Badlapur, Andhadhun, Johnny Gaddaar, Ek Hasina Thi and Merry Christmas.
In May this year, an Ikkis teaser was released showing a telegram from Arun Khetarpal informing his parents about the sacrifice he made for his nation when he was just 21 years old. Later, the release date of the film was announced as October 2. Then, some news reported that the release date of the film was postponed to November 7. Now, it is stated in the trailer of Ikkis that it will be released in December 2025, without specifying an exact release date.
