Andhra, Telangana Weather Update: IMD flags intense thundershowers; Hyderabad on rain alert till April 1. Check details here

The India Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad, has issued a yellow warning and predicted heavy thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds in many areas by Thursday. Temperatures are expected to range between 36 degrees Celsius and 40 degrees Celsius in parts of Telangana.

On the other hand, Amravati MeT Center said that the trough has caused weather change in the state and predicted light to moderate rains are likely in various parts of Andhra Pradesh. The meteorological office has warned of thunderstorms in Alluri Sitarama Raju, Srikakulam, Kurnool and Nandyal districts of Andhra Pradesh.

Weather in Hyderabad today

On Tuesday, March 31, IMD warned that skies in Hyderabad may be partly cloudy and rain or thunderstorms or dust storms may occur. Similar weather conditions are expected on April 1.

IMD has issued a warning for heavy thunderstorms, including strong winds ranging from 30 to 50 kmph, lightning and thunderstorms for Hyderabad, Mahabubnagar, NagarKurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet, JogulambaGadwal, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal-Malkajgiri, Vikarabad and SangaReddy districts. published.

IMD Hyderabad has issued a general weather warning regarding thunderstorms, lightning and high winds for April 4 and 5 but did not specifically mention areas where the intensity is expected to be severe.
Telangana has been experiencing unseasonal rainfall since Monday night, especially in the northern districts. Rains accompanied by thunder and lightning were recorded in areas including Adilabad, Asifabad, Nirmal, Karimnagar, Nizamabad and Medak. Meanwhile, strong winds were observed in Rajanna Sircilla district, while a sudden drop in temperatures was observed in Medak, Sangareddy and Vikarabad.

Weather in Amravati today

In Amravati, the weather is expected to remain partly cloudy on March 31, with maximum temperature around 41°C and minimum temperature around 23°C. There were no weather warnings issued for the day.

Similar conditions will continue on April 1; Partly cloudy skies and temperatures will reach around 41°C again, while the minimum temperature may be closer to 24°C. No warnings are available.

A change is expected on April 2, when rain or thunderstorms may occur in the city accompanied by strong winds. The maximum temperature is expected to drop to around 40°C and the minimum temperature to drop to around 24°C. A thunderstorm alert has been issued, with lightning and strong winds reaching speeds of 40-50 km per hour expected.

It is expected that the weather will stabilize and partly cloudy weather will return as of April 3. The maximum temperature may be around 39°C on 3 April and gradually decreases to around 37°C on 4 April and 5 April, while minimum temperatures may range between 20°C and 21°C.
