Andrew Hastie quits shadow cabinet after refusing to be ‘silent’ on immigration

Andrew Hastie will appeal to the media just a few hours after sensational leave from the shadow cabinet, which is immediately valid.

On Friday night, the right wing followed for months between the old senior military and the first female leader of the liberal party.

Shadow Interior Minister and Liberal Leadership candidates made a statement that announced their resignation on Friday evening.

“The leader said that the shadow interior minister would not react to the coalition’s immigration issues, or that the coalition will not develop the migration strategy,” he said.

“On this basis, I decided that I could not continue in this role and could not remain silent about migration.

“In the Westminster system, if a member of the shadow cabinet does not want to live with a solidarity agreement, it is a well -established standard they should go to Backbench.”

Mr. Hastie said he resigned from the front rah, without respecting the leadership of Sussan Ley.

“Sussan deserves the opportunity to lead numerous leaders of the shadow cabinet colleagues, especially when creating a policy platform for the 2028 elections of the coalition.”

“I am grateful for the opportunity to serve as a shadow Minister of Interior, and I wish you every success in this period and wish you a shadow cabinet.”

Mr. Hastie will put the media forward for the first time since the announcement in 9.15 (AWST) on Saturday morning.
