Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s items ‘moved into storage’ as move looms | Royal | News

Although the date for Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s move to Sandringham Manor in Norfolk has not been officially announced, it is thought that preparations are continuing. It has been reported that the disgraced royal will move to Marsh Farm near the village of Wolferton once much-needed repairs are completed.
It has been widely reported that the vacant property will be Andrew’s new home after new ‘no fly’ regulations were extended to the property. Despite this, the palace said it would not name the King’s new home because his brother is a “private citizen” and Sandringham is “private property”.
Andrew is not required to vacate his current Royal Lodge home until October 2026, but progress has reportedly been made on the move.
Sun on Sunday He reported that some of Andrew’s belongings had been removed from the Royal Lodge and placed in storage.
Speaking about why details of Andrew’s new home will not be made public, a palace source told the paper: “GDPR and privacy rights are involved so we won’t be naming the property. There are also security issues involved.”
Marsh Farm is currently empty and unfurnished. Featuring two reception rooms and a kitchen, the property also has several outbuildings.
Another property reported to be a possibility for Andrew was nearby Wood Farm. Queen Elizabeth II Wood Farm, Elizabeth’s favorite home, is where Prince Philip spent most of his time following his retirement from royal duties in 2017.
But, Daily Mail reports Members of the Royal Family felt the house was still “too close” to Sandringham House.
Wood Farm was often used at Christmas as an extra residence for royal relatives who were not usually invited to all the festivities.
Sarah Ferguson was known to stay at the secluded property several times over the festive period so she could see her children Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie on the big day.
